Beauty Tips & Tricks: Lashes

Hi beauty queens!

I've been wanting to do a post on my beauty tips and tricks I know of and use often. I've decided I would do a post like this every now and then to keep you updated. Today's post is all about lashes!

Tip #1: I don't know about you but my lashes are not the longest or fullest ones out there... There are a ton of lash serums to make them conditioned and grow that I would like to try someday but in the meantime, Vaseline has been doing a pretty good job. Before I go to bed I just dip my finger in a slight bit of Vaseline and gently use my finger to coat my lashes. I do this to the bottom and top. It looks a little funny but no one else will be looking at your eye lashes when your sleeping. The petroleum jelly keeps the lashes conditioned and protected to promote eye lash growth. This works great if you are losing eye lashes, wanting extra length & volume, or just repair damaged lashes because let's face it, they take a toll from mascaras as well as removing eye makeup.

Tip #2: There is nothing more annoying than finishing up a beautiful eye look when all of a sudden your mascara wand wants to dance around and leave mascara on your eyelid or lower eye area rather than your lashes... First instinct is to take makeup remover and redo your hard efforts. No need my dear. Make sure you wait about 5 minutes to let the mascara fully dry on your eyelid, then grab a cotton swab and lightly brush away the mascara. It works unbelievably, it does not remove your eye shadow but creates a flawless eye look.

Tip #3: Putting on mascara on the lower lash line can definitely be challenging sometimes especially if you are in a moving vehicle or just don't have the steadiest hand that day. Tip #1 can be applied as well if there is a mistake, however, we can prevent that. Just grab some scrap paper (preferably a stiffer paper for better control) and cut a curve into the paper just to fit your lower lash line. Hold it underneath your lower lashes when applying mascara and that way the mascara will go on the paper rather than your skin.

Now flutter those healthy, luscious lashes doll!

I hope these tips helped and let me know if  you try any of them! I know they have helped me a ton!

  3. great tips girl! The vaseline tip has worked really well for me and I love applying it before I apply some olive oil, it really conditions them! I have also used paper when applying mascara to both top and bottom lashes and it works great as well! :)
